Twistleton Scar Cragging

Limestone (especially polished limestone) can make for tricky gymnastic climbing, but it can also be great fun… Twistleton Scar offers a wide range of grades, a short approach and a lovely outlook up and down Ribblesdale. So it made an excellent choice for Laetitia and I with our ‘pothole battered’ bodies (see yesterday’s post) and for Dave with his mega hangover from his birthday celebration the previous evening. Fiona said he didn’t go to bed until after 3am! 😎

The only negative point for Twistleton on a sunny Sunday is the constant scream of bikers having their fun zooming down the B6255.

Afterwards – what else but a trip to Bernies Café for tea and (carrot) cake! :yum:
