The fantastic weather continues – another sunny day at Quayfoot Buttress in Borrowdale (no camera = no pix, sorry) on Tuesday, then yet another for Wednesday and White Ghyll in Langdale.
It was cold when we got to White Ghyll, the sun still hadn’t got round to light and warm up the walls, so we started on the classic Slip Not.
Then the sun made it’s welcome appearance and we moved across to Waste Not, Want Not. I found the moves across on to the wall from the Laugh Not corner quite hard. [Mental note to self: I must stick to the winter training programme more strictly next year, my fingers are too weak.]
Further up the Ghyll we also ticked the favourite Forget Me Not…
And here’s a picture for Rebecca and Mina’s memories, a little warmer than when we were here with them a few years ago, the view form the top of White Ghyll across to Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark.
Wednesday was a short climbing day though ‘cos we had a posh birthday dinner to celebrate in the eneving. Sharrow Bay was the venue. Wow, what a special place!
Happy birthday Tish, looks like you had a fab day! But how is it; it’s your birthday and Pete gets a new shirt ❓ Pic 7 is :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
Happy Birthday Tish. Hope you had cake!!! :yum: :yum: :yum: Good to see the weather is behaving itself so you could get out and enjoy yourself! 😀
wot no food photos 😕
I wondered if it just wasn’t cool to take a photo in such a posh place, but when it came to it we completely forgot – too busy scoffing the yummy food.
Pete bought me a most fantastic green slate cake stand for my birthday. It’s a lovely piece of stone and now has a very lovely victoria sponge cake with whipped cream and strawberries on it. :yum: :yum:
pictures?
Here it is! :yum: :yum:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Looking good…..
