Cats are killing billions of animals in the US, reads a BBC headline. And another BBC article reports on how cats are being tagged in bird killing study in Berkshire in the UK. While perhaps the most famous extinction of a species caused by feline predation is that of the Stephen Island Wren. Simply, it appears that cats are evil.
What do you think? Should we work to protect our wildlife? Why are cats the only animal allowed to roam freely without control, supervision, fencing, leashes, etc? Should we keep those moggies indoors? Should collars with bells be mandatory?
