Month: April 2006
As Laetitia’s birthday treat we went to Holmescales Activity Centre to walk with Harris Hawks. Amazing birds!
It can’t be true, the second bank holiday of the rock climbing season proper and it’s nice weather again! The gods must be smiling on climbers for a change!
'Chocolat' Bertrand (Paul), Marchioness Duchamp (Laetitia), Dr Sigmund Fraud (Pete), Mike Bison (Ian), Dr Doris Johnson (Anna), and Dame Barbara Carthorse (Steph) were all suspects on the 15th of April 1900...
A bit of rain today, so no climbing. But that didn’t stop play, oh no! Out came the bikes, and off for a round of Kentmere we went.
This is just to show that Laetitia and Pete aren’t the only ones to have a taste for fancy furniture!
Weddings are always great fun - everyone is in such a great mood!
The venue, the Inn at Whitewell in the Forest of Bowland, is an awesome place...
A day at Shepherds crag. Dave enjoyed Ardus (MVS) (as you can see from his grin!) and I think (?) he enjoyed Jaws (E1) too...
It’s one of the best scrambles in the Lakes! So what better way to kick off the Easter Bank Holiday weekend?
Great exposure, some fun scrambling and a stiff (freezing) wind...
And so we start the log of climbing conditions, routes, issues - anything - reported by you...
