On a wonderful hot summer day we headed out to Crag Lough (below Hadrian’s Wall) after a full breakfast, thanks to Andy!
Not a great crag, and with some grossly under-graded routes. Either that or Northumbrian climbers really are ten times better than the rest of us!
“Not a great crag”?! Cheek!! I’ve been to worse, but to none with such historical ambience, and scenic situation, as well as easy access. Soft southern jessies need not apply…..
OK, fair points about the history and location, although it is worth remembering that the Romans were invaders! But, as for the crag, i.e. the climbing on it etc. Yeah, I’m sticking by my words, not great…
