After some wintry showers, I decided to take the skis for a bit of a slide around the the tops of the fells in the far north of the Lakes. Not many people venture this far, and under a winter coat, the hills do seem to look a whole lot bigger…. as you can see…….
Wow, amazing. I never knew the Northern Lakes were so awesome! It even looks (suspiciously) like you have a mountain just like Les Dru in the background. And I’m not sure, but I suspect that in that cloud is another one that looks like Mont Blanc?
No… these are the fells just to the north of Skiddaw. Haven’t you ever wondered why the “Old Crown Round” is so hard?
Old Crown Road? I haven’t heard of that one – where is it?
