Meander near Keswick

Anna and I joined the Armstrong Watson walking group for a short walk from Great Wood to Ashness Bridge, and back over Walla Crag. Suprisingly the weather stayed fine and we were rewarded with great views or Borrowdale and Keswick. Who’d live anywhere else?????
The amount of rain that had fallen was evident with the first strem crossing. It was like thousands of gallons of doris streaming down the mountain, head included.

You could just fancy a pint of this…..

On the way home the monsoon returned. I snapped this pic near Bassenthwaite. The story of our summer…………..

  1. Some great colours in that last picture Ian! Had you been on the mushrooms to help visualise the effect you wanted? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Are those mushrooms really 2ft tall?!
