Well Kats, nice to know that its good weather in the Rockies, with an apparently fantastic season to date…
Everett and Doug have been active again and sent me a picture of the North Face of Mt Stanley, taken from Mt Whymper, opposite, which they climbed today. Stanley is the face furthest right (the great rock bands in the shadows lower right are the ‘Stanley headwall’, home of the winter routes ‘Nemesis’ etc.)
Stanley had eluded me, as the Verte has Boris, for a variety of reasons for a number of years. The last time, in 2004, I went with Everett but the face had effectively ‘disappeared’ and I said I would never return.
But it looks good again….dunnit?????
