I am beginning to think that the sun always shines at Castle Naze. Standing in the car park, the wind was blowing and it felt quite cold. We were on the brink of turning back but the 10 minute walk to the crag brought us into a microcosm of Costa Blanca sunshine and warmth.
Not another soul to be seen all day as Terry, weekday activist Bernie and new ‘aspirant’ Chris knocked off what routes they could. Chris, being a photographer, was in charge of the camera and managed to fill a 1Gb card of stills!!
Nice weather! It rained most of today in Cumbria… …lucky devils! 😛
Glad you had such an ace day. Hang on though, what’s the route? It looks superb.
Well, in fact, there are two routes.
The third picture is ‘Nozag’ VS 4C which is the classic of the crag, after ‘The Scoop’, that is.
The first two are, I believe, ‘Keep Arete’, VS 4b.
Ah, sorry, thought they were the same, but I can see they are different now that I’m looking at the pictures again and it isn’t nearly midnight! 😯
Hmm, yes, good weather again, but not as good as your last visit which led to much bare chested excitment…
Well, I don’t think the bare chest would be exciting to anybody except, maybe, an undertaker??
The third picture looks very steep… is it really that steep?
It is certainly vertical but not overhanging, except for a step that sticks out. I think the camera position directly below may emphasise and exaggerate the perspective.
