Saturday dawned sunny but cold and windy so after doing some chores I headed out into the Peak. Unfortunately when I reached Burbage Bridge the sun had gone and rain was threatening. Having come this far I opted for Higgar Tor East, sheltered from the cold SW wind. There was enough dry rock for an hours bouldering after which a walk round to Higgar Tor confirmed how cold it was in the wind. Not a great bouldering session but it was good to climb on rough rock.
Brilliant classic view of Higgar Tor! :star:
Great picture.
If you want rough rock, have your tried Ramshaw Rocks?
Oh yes ! very rough and another crag sheltered from westerly winds.
Dave, you should know, Pal has been to every crag in Britain known to man. It’s my mission to one day be able to say “Hey Paul, been to …” and have Paul say “No, was it good?”
Just noticed this kind of cool “glow” around the outline/profile of Higgar Tor in your photo. Did you do that somehow, or is the crag haunted?
