Run for the hills…

Ian and I looking extremely heroic

There’s only 9 months until the Pudding Race and we need some serious training… Well, ok, maybe we are a bit ahead of ourselves, but Ian and Anna persuaded me that a run around Kentmere would be fun. I’d spent the last couple of days giving the house a spring clean :good: , so it did seem like a good idea to get fresh air into the lungs and get the leg muscles moving.
The Kentmere Horseshoe was a little ambitious, so we decided upon a shorter route along one side of the Kentmere valley. The strong winds had blown in snow, sunshine, then more snow, but by the time we decided to run the weather had calmed down a little.
It was a wonderful little circular route, along track, through mud, puddles and streams. A real adventure.

We finished the day with scrummy chocolate cake :yum: – well, we had to replenish those calories somehow!! πŸ™„

  1. Chocolate cake was a much better prize than a Christmas pudding :yum: :yum: :yum: ………… perhaps we could instigate a choccy cake race???? πŸ˜†

  2. Hmmm, if I’d have known there was chocolate cake, I’d have called in.

But that would have been greedy, cos I’d already had chocolate cake at Shepherd’s caf, which is now open by the way.
