The CC Aspirant Members Meet dawned with wet and grey weather on Saturday. Despite my ideas to head to Anglesey, the more optimistic set off to Tremadog hoping to find dry rock. We followed, but it wasn’t dry, in fact it was raining! So a fair few miles later we arrived where I’d first suggested; Castell Helen and welcoming sunshine! 😉
Later we returned to Ynws Ettws to enjoy the booze and excellent food (prepared by Ian and Viv Smith), all courtesy of the late Henry Adler. As a social bonus, Terry and Chris had rocked up to enjoy the party. 🙂
The rain continued in the Llanberis Pass through the night, but Sunday dawned dry and bright. 😎
Laetitia headed off to Carreg Wastad with Steve to climb in the sun. They had a great day; Ribstone Crack, Shadow Wall and Unicorn. 😛
While I went off to Dinas Mot with Simon and Jim. My choice was a tricky one with Simon wanting to climb about VS and Jim about E2. So, I thought Super Direct might be a good option. It may have been too if it hadn’t been for the bitter cold wind on the shady side of the Pass making for a very cold day. 🙁 Still the route was great.
Looks like you had a good w/e………….. there was a cold wind in Langdale on Sunday aswell 🙁
Yeah, it was a good w/e 🙂 lots of good grub (see my post) :yum: :yum: lots of good aspirants (two of whom I knew, quite by chance) 😛 Also, I suspect, lots of behind the scenes preparation by Laetica :good:
So thanks to Tish, Ian, Viv and Henry :star:
