After yesterdays short trip, I really felt that I needed to get my act together.
My Wainwrights have been neglected recently so I thought it was time to get up some hills.
I opted for Clough Head and Raven Crag either side of St John’s in the Vale.

Not much else to say but it was chilly but with some fantastic views.

While I had been lazy, five workmates had been peddling around Grizedale on the Wild Boar 24 hr challenge.
I met up with Vickie (who had just completed the 24 hr challenge and was looking remarkably fresh) and we headed for Shepherds Cafe for some refreshments and to catch up on the events of the last 24 hours. No cakes, I’m afraid but a toasted tea cake for me and poached egg and cheese on toast for Vickie.
Wainwrights to go:
What are you going to do when you run out of Wainwrights?
Perhaps we can look forward to a Munro count down followed by the Corbetts?
Colin – there are many outlying fells to do as well. The Outlying Fells of Lakeland (Wainwright Pictorial Guide)
Pete – you’ll have to wait for a long time for me to even think about the Munroes and Corbetts – perhaps when I’m retired. Only 23 years to go…. 😀
