Our great British summer brought more threats of wind and rain so with that in mind Colin, Bev, Clive and Paul headed for Lawrencefield. Basiclally a big hole quarried to produce millstones for industry. What it gives us is a sheltered playground with a good selection of routes of various types and grades. Our first route brought a short shower – quickly blown away by the wind. This set the pattern for the day. Despite this a respectable tally of routes were climbed culminating with Clive’s ascent of Eclair.
Looks like good weather in the pictures – plenty of sunshine! π
Is that Clive on Eclair in the second picture? It looks a bit like you Paul… β
It’s Clive running it out!
Cool, so what grade is Eclair?
Hmm, I dropped a couple of runners in that pool in about 1976, I wonder if they’re still there?

Eek – and no protection! π―
At least one doesn’t need those runners at the bottom of the pool! π
