We met near Stair, with Dudley and Dick (one of whom is a dog) and ticked off a few Wainwrights.
Sabiene has decided to do the lot and – wait for it – is starting from scratch, not counting those she has done previously. I can only admire her purism.
The weather was mixed but we had some good views.
Hey Sabiene, you can start a race with Dave to finish them? He does have a big head start on you (66 to go I think), but he’s just moved house so you have a chance to catch up while he is busy painting and putting up shelves… :good:
It’s a great challenge, and yes, my house move has temporarily halted my Wainwright count. However I plan to finish them by the end of the year. Yes, Pete, 66 to go. I would have done 3 or 4 last Sunday, but a sprained ankle has put me out for a few weeks…..arrrghh.
Maybe bump into you on some hill?
Fantastic pictures. The heather looks so amazing at the moment – must be all the rain. I must make the effort to go for a walk – without heavy climbing ruck sack – but I’m not sure I could contemplate starting all the Wainwrights. How long will Sabiene’s smile last…?
Sorry I haven’t been around for a while but I’ve also been increasing the Munro count when not working.
I then discovered that I couldn’t go to Scotland EVERY weekend or I’d have to declare myself bankrupt with these fuel prices so I decided to count something a bit closer too.
If I didn’t count them I’d probably stay in bed and get fat…..!
Can’t imagine you getting fat, Sabiene!
Sounds like a great plan Sab (the Wainrights bit, not the getting fat bit!) – are you going for the first “no view from the summits” round?! Great rainbow too…
