David & Anette, Flash & Dynamite volunteered to walk with Pippa and I. Flash and Dynamite are both graded search dogs.
I chose a more relaxing walk than I’d done previously this week. We parked at Rosthwaite and headed up Willygrass Gill to come out near Dock Tarn. It’s a lovely spot and we admired the surrounding views back to Honister, Seathwaite etc.
Our first Wainwright of the day was Great Crag with a bit of heather bashing to get to the summit.

A quick bite to eat out of the wind before heading up to Grange Fell, a tad wet underfoot.

Grange Fell is another nice spot, with room for a tent on a flat spot (but wait for a period of dry weather), and the rock shapes make for a lovely sofa or two. A perfect place for a high wild camp.

We returned to Rosthwaite after a nice circular walk and a couple of Wainwrights under our belts.
