I was looking through some old photos the other day, and came across this selection, taken when Stonehenge was a good bit younger than it is today.
Here you see a motley group. I was climbing with Mike Banks, when he was still a forminable climber. The others are a slightly younger Bob Allen and Derek Walker.
The picture gives no impression of where we were, but this one shows the true perspective…
Yes, on the Old Man of Storr. Here you see us just starting up.
I won’t say how many years ago it was, but way before my Canada days!!!
Awesome – but who took the piccys from the distance?
So was this before Stonehenge was built and Canada discovered? ๐
The girls ๐  :star:
So, what I wanna know is what’s the link between Stonehenge and the Old Man of Storr; what was it about the Stonehenge article that made you think of this adventure?
It was because I had just come across the old photos at the time of Stonehenge blog and linked that both pertained to the distant past and that Mike, in particular, is now very old indeed ๐ฎ
