Yes, its that time of year again. A whole year since the misery and pain of last year! What some people will do to get something to put the custard on after the turkey.
Seriously though, it was a great effort from all the runners, some who had trained and some who had not: Pete, Tish, Dave Fiona, Sarah, Jon, Sally, Sean, Caroline, Martha and Charlie all completed the race in style; here are a few pics:
After the race it was back to the training regime………….. mulled wine and mince pies!
As Sloth isn’t in any of the pictures I can only assume he came in before everyone else and got busy with the camera. Well done mate. :star:
Special mention to Pete for the “I’m not taking this running lark seriously” attire.
Best “pretending to enjoy this” face goes to Tish.
Oooh, ow, oooh, ow, my knees hurt.
Anna and Ian were the stars by being the support team and cheering us all home. :star: :star: They kept warm while we were running by drinking hot chocolate with cointreau and whipped cream :yum: :yum:
Ian took the piccys – Dave must have run by so fast he missed him.
Well done to Sarah for getting a prize. :star: :star: :star:
well done everybody!
What a day – my first ever road race (and only the 6th time I’d ever put my running shoes on)! Today my leg muscles hurt like hell! 😮 Anyway, it was great fun (kind of – in retrospect), and everyone in our “team” completed the course in under an hour. Awesome! 😀 The results are here…
