As the East Cumbria Search Panel excercise was called off as the Lake District was likely to be busy and needing Mountain Rescue Teams quickly was a priority.
However, Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team decided to have a day practising our skills.
We had two ‘incidents’…one near High Cup Nick and one on Murton Crags.

It was a successful day and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I think the casualties also enjoyed their trip down the snow slopes strapped into a stretcher on skids!

Looks like you had a good day with lots of visibility.
The ‘casualties’ deserve a medal for staying put. They must have been freezing.
We got snow this afternoon. How about you?
