Cakes & Camels

This site needs more camels and the cake quotient seems to have dropped a bit as well. Went in search of both across Central Asia in October last year.

Did some other stuff as well, but I guess you’ve seen enough crap shots of mountains from a distance, those pot blokes in China and a big crumbling brick wall.

These guys are the same shape as a dromedary after I’ve sat on it.

I suppose I’d better mention the mountains, this being the site it is. We travelled the length of the Tien Shan from west to east (at a distance). The range is about 2500km long with 7000m peaks at one end and 6000m peaks at the other and all sizes in between. There may be one or two left unclimbed.

  1. Crikey, if the cake precedent hadn’t been set before, it has now ❗ 😯
That’s going to take some beating – unless of course the candle-rat’s construed as cheating and results in disqualification ❓ ❗

  2. I heard on the radio yesterday, or maybe the day before, that after all these years, they’ve just discovered a new bit of Wall no-one knew was there!
