On Sunday I joined Andy, Sabiene and their friends on a walk from Mosedale. Sabiene had planned a route up the side of Carrock Fell, and along to High Pike and the Lingy Hut, but after only a few hundred metres the map was out, Sabiene looked puzzled and we were left to find our own way up the fell, the path somewhere to the left or right.
We soon found the path, and made the easy ascent of High Pike, in glorious sunshine. On the way down, a group of hounds rushed past following a pre-laid trail. They didn’t veer a yard off line as they hurried upwards with ears flapping. 500 metres behind a trailer came by, looking quite lost; he came over to us, then wandered off before meandering in a vague line after the others. He reminded me of someone earlier in the day!
Sorry I missed that walk – but I was doing my own blog adventure.
Brilliant picture of the hounds.
