Walking with John isn’t really fell running but sometimes on the Thursday fellwalks it feels like it.
As usual the AW Fellwalkers jogged in the wake of their intrepid leader, trying vainly to keep up with him. This time it was Borrowdale, taking the path which runs behind the CC hut.

Windy, cool, cloudy, soggy underfoot – typical British July really…. Lucky it’s August now. But we all made the top, no chance of missing it as it is marked by a huge cairn.
The descent goes through mine workings and woods.
The last section reverses part of our favourite “Eight teashop walk” but sadly at 9.30 none of them are open.
No tea and cakes ๐ ๐
