Finally we managed to meet up with our friends from Zurich for a nice and easy mountaineering route up the Grassen in the Berner Oberland region up the Sustenpass. After the clouds didn’t really want to dissapear on saturday spoiling our bivi we started 4 o’clock in the morning from the parking “Swiss Style”. A bit dark though, but when the sun slowly appeared on the horizon we already managed to reach the glacier and realized how “aper” it all was (blank ice, almost no snow toppings left). At least we could see all crevasses easily. The ridge to the top was absolutely awsome and long.
I almost forgot how much I love switzerland – need to schedule our next trip. But the Black Forrest MTB is next! Watch out for more!

What a fantastic trip. Looks like a very quiet area.
Yes, very jealous of you out in the mountains while I’m stuck here in a hot and stuffy office arguing with inflexible contractors about how and what software they should be building!
