Hey guys, is this one for you? We think you should go for it! 😉
We arrived in Chamonix last night to find the road blocked off. It was for the start of the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc to run past.
Today, after 166 kilometres, 8500 metres of ascent, and a mere 21 and half hours of running the winner, Kilian Jornet, ran in. We missed that, we were still out climbing, but we did see (and get a shot of) the fourth placed German, Uli Calmbach, run in to a great celebrations!
It’s no good issuing a challenge to Richard and Rachel; you know what will happen …….. they’ll do it!! 😯 …. and they’ll probably win it!! 😆
Hmmm … if only… I see that Uli Calmbach has his nordic walking poles! ~7000 m of climb in 24 hours … that’s a lot. BG first.
Many, if not all, of the competitors we saw had poles with them. Seems to be standard equipment.
BG? Bob Graham? If so, let us know when, we’ll provide support…
So why is the banner in English?
It isn’t, as far as I can see just the brand names are in English…
