The Malcolm McDougall Memorial Netherhall 10 mile race took place recently and was an enjoyably social occasion as quite a number of my friends and acquaintances took part as well as me.
However it was a particularly notable event because it was the first time that I sported the club strip: I was a bit worried about the possibility of disgracing it. Those who know me well will instantly see why I joined Derwent AC in Cockermouth rather than any other running club:
Yes, the club colour is PURPLE! Note the gold go-faster stripe: it worked, as I got a PB over the distance π
The go faster stripe even works when not wearing it.. π― I went out running with Anna on Thursday and was left trailing π π
