Lack of sleep made me feel very rough on Saturday morning. In spite of a warm-up jog, I started off the Grassmoor 5k (actually, I am told, 5.5 k) feeling stiff and cold. I went off far too fast, and did not enjoy it at all.
However, it is worth a blog because I finished first in my class (LV50 i.e., ladies of a certain age) and got my first ever running prize π π
Because of the novelty value, I feel the need to share this achievement with the whole of the Sterling Adventures community, not to mention the worldwide web as a whole. Just a little race but who cares????
Happily, a fellow club member and model got the MV50 prize.
Congratulations! π
OMG – brilliant result! :star: :star: :star:
The first pic is great; hill, snow drops, and champion runner! π
( π Thanks for showing us all your snot-rag in pic 2 too. π … It took me a moment to figure out what it was, so of course I may have it wrong and it may be some other important go-faster equipment…)
Pic 1: gloves and hairband; pic 2: plastic cup.
Hankies are for wimps.
I have heard men “snot” on the roadside as they’re running. Eeuuuuugggghhhh!!!! π― π― :sarcy:
Yes they do it a lot don’t they? And spit too. Yeuch.
It’s amazing how one’s English vocabulary is getting larger by the minute just by reading this site!
Anna, congrats on your result! :star: But why do you wear a hairband on your hand β Maybe to prevent your fingers from falling off π
Glad this site has its uses, not just us all showing off about what we’ve been up to!
Excellent pix & great result – hope the wine was nice!
Yes, it was. I drank it on Sunday (great training π )
