Saturday
After the delights of Ogof Rhyd Sych, we opted for a short day and went to explore a cave on the Gower Peninsula called Ogof Fynnon Wyntog. This cave has a sump within the first 15 m, which we were hoping would be low enough to enter after the recent spell of dry weather. Unfortunately, the cave was very much sumped and hence after spending some time trying to start a syphon, we gave up and spent the day relaxing on the Gower.
I see no cakes on the table! 🙄
Keith had bara brith before the picture was taken… but I agree, we were a bit slack!
I spend many happy (& often wet!) holidays in Port Eynon as a kid
PS where on Gower is Ogof Ffynon Wyntog?
Take a look at Brendan’s website and in particular the cave map of the Gower: http://www.ogof.org.uk/Gower_map.html
