Trekking to Rosetta
Day 4 of our trek rewarded us with perhaps the best views of the trip, but first we had to retrace our steps, climbing the 840 m back to Passo Canali. From here we hiked over the snow to Forcella Miel, from where the views were stunning. We then followed route 707 all the way across the alto plano (flattish plateau) to Rifugio Rosetta.
Looks like an amazing trip, despite the poor weather at the start, you covered some spectacular terrain! π

Chlamydomonas nivalis! :alien:
Doh, I had hoped it was food related. π Ah well, Watermelon Snow will have to do. π
Yeah – looks like a great holiday. Were the huts busy? Looks very quiet in the mountains.

The huts in Pale di San Martino were very quiet. There was a training course with CAI in the first one, so about 25 of us, but no more than seven people staying at any of the others (mind you, it was the first week of the season). The hut in Catinaccio, in contrast, was packed.
No to both guesses. I’ll leave Rachel to reveal all.
