This December I will be celebrating a birthday that is divisible by 10 and hence I thought that perhaps I should organise a party. Hence this post is to gauge your interest…
I was thinking of a blog rendezvous-style weekend, but with more cake and a few other invitees, but most certainly with a focus on ‘doing something fun outdoors’.
So, the options are:
Derbyshire: stay in a bunk barn, go climbing, walking, caving, running, orienteering
South Wales: stay at Whitewalls, go climbing (there’s some in the quarrys above Whitewalls apparently), walking, caving, running, orienteering (less likely)
Let me know your preferences via the poll below, or alternatively send me an email.
Would you be interested in attending?
- Yes (100%, 13 Votes)
- No (0%, 0 Votes)
Total Voters: 13
Which location do you prefer (if no preference tick both)?
- Derbyshire (59%, 10 Votes)
- South Wales (41%, 7 Votes)
Total Voters: 13
What dates are you available (tick all that apply)?
- 17-18th September (24%, 10 Votes)
- 15-16th October (21%, 9 Votes)
- 22-23rd October (21%, 9 Votes)
- 1-2nd October (17%, 7 Votes)
- 8-9th October (17%, 7 Votes)
Total Voters: 13
What is your favourite cake?
- Chocolate (46%, 6 Votes)
- Fresh and fruity (23%, 3 Votes)
- Spongy (15%, 2 Votes)
- Dense fruity (8%, 1 Votes)
- Alcoholic (8%, 1 Votes)
- Pastry-encased (0%, 0 Votes)
Total Voters: 13
I’ll call the poll finished once this post falls off the front page into oblivion.
From a travel point of view Derbyshire is way better for us, South Wales is a very long way from the Lakes!
I can’t use the voting system. It thinks I have already voted cos I’m on the same ip address as Pete.
So here are my choices:
Yes
Derbyshire
17th – 18th Sept and 22nd 23rd Oct
All :yum: :yum:
Richard couldn’t vote either after I voted. You can only have one favourite cake choice… β
If 10th-11th Sept was among the options I’d definitely vote for that!! π
Maybe you can extend your trip to the 18th Sep and twist Rachel’s arm in to picking the weekend of 17/18th Sep so you can meet the extended gang?
Unfortunately I’m flying back from London on the 16th Sep. To extend my trip would be a bit expensive for me. But who knows, maybe the good company and the cakes are worth it β
let us know if an extension to your stay would be possible … and how good the cakes would need to be in order to entice you.
I could vote for a number of different dates, but not for all the cakes π
Would love to come π
I requested the poll to only allow you one slice of cake… but any number of dates
(that sentence is odd in a number of ways). π
I can’t vote either – is this sabotage?? I go for:
Interested
Derbyshire
Any date except 1-2 October
Chocolate or fresh and fruity or preferably both :yum:
As Laetitia says above, it is because the poll system uses your IP address (and other stuff) to know if you have already voted. Therefore, if you share your internet connection with another (i.e. you are living together connecting to the internet via the same router) the system thinks you are the same person – well the IP address is the same anyhow!
Pete: is it possible to extract the number of participants who have filled in the poll from somewhere; otherwise I won’t be able to compute the final percentage preferences…
alternatively, Tish, Anna and Richard will just have to go and find another IP address!
Yep. Whenever you wanna see them I can send them to you.
I voted from work earlier today, so that’s one less “alternative vote” π
I’m on a different IP address today, so I’ve added my vote now. π
Who gave the picture of my cake a vote of 1 ??? surely it deserves more than that β β β
If you want to come and haven’t received an email, send me a message!
