It seems that some people are struggling with inserting pictures in to their posts because of the new WordPress media manager. It is easier than ever, honest! Follow this easy six step process and all of your pictures will be inserted seamlessly in one fell swoop…
Step 1
On the new post writing page you’re already familiar with, click the “Add Media” button.
Step 2
Click the “Upload Files” link.
Step 3a – Select Pictures
Either click “Select Files” and find the picture files you want to upload on your PC, or drag them from (say) your desktop…
Step 3b – or, Drag and Drop
Easiest, just drag and drop all the picture files for the post to the upload media window.
Step 4
Notice that after the automatic upload process has completed the uploaded files are at the top and are all “ticked” ready to insert! Click the ones you want to set a title and caption for. If you loose the ticked selection, just shift-click or ctrl-click to extend the ticked selection.
Step 5
Set the display settings: “Center“, “None“, and “Medium“.
Step 6
Click the “Insert into post” button.
Done
You are done! All of the pictures complete with any captions are inserted into the post in one smooth action.
