What a lovely sunny late autumn day today was: clear, super sunny, and calm – a dingle day! It would have been a fantastic day for rock climbing on a warm south facing crag. I hope others took advantage? However, my fitness has some way to go before I’m ready for that again so Laetitia and I enjoyed a wonderful walk from near Thirlmere up over Ullscarf via the beautifully peaceful Harrop and Blea Tarns. Harrop Tarn in particular must be amazing in summer when the masses of water lilies would be in flower!
We collected a few geocaches on route, but mostly we just collected the views! Here are few shots from the day…

What an incredibly clear and still day today was. I guess the only hint that its been raining cats and dogs for weeks is that Blea Tarn is indeed full!
