Terry and Andrew were lucky to attend the book-launch of this new selected ice climbing guidebook at the Iron Goat, Cougar Creek in the Canadian Rockies the other night.
A very impressive production, it describes 53 of the best climbs across the grades with super photos. Text on one page, photo page opposite. But not really a substitute for the definitive guide, I felt.
A very enjoyable evening, with lots of old faces (including our good pal Trevor Jones) but far more of the new – operating at sickening levels too.
Awesome cover shot! π Fearful Symmetry?
It must have been hard work to get in to position to get that angle for the photo.
Correct, Fearful Symmetry π
Yes, most photos are from unusual perspectives.
You would have won $50 at the ‘Quiz’ for getting that right :star:
Cool, one of a few routes left on my tick-list for Canada… π
