Our holiday was coming to an end and we had to start thinking about driving home.
As we were going that way, we decided to take some time out to visit Strasbourg. We had never been there before but I had heard it is very beautiful.
We left Todtmoos-Au on a very wet Thursday morning and arrived in Strasbourg just in time for lunch. We were lucky enough to find a parking space close to the city centre (only €3 for 3 hours). We headed off towards the cathedral and found ourselves on some beautifully ancient streets. We continued to wander around the centre, dodging the rain showers by diving into various shops.
I would definitely recommend visiting Strasbourg. It’s beautiful, and if you like shopping then you’ll be in heaven.
After Strasbourg we headed west, slept in an aire, and made our way to Fountainebleau for a quick bouldering fix. As usual we had a great laugh following an easy circuit. I was reminded of what a great place it is and I think I need to make plans for another return trip in slightly warmer and drier weather.
Looks like a lot of fun! I really like Font, it’s surprising how hard even the easy circuits can be though!
