This morning it is snowing so hard it’s like the sky is falling in! Hard to believe that yesterday was clear and sunny. But it was. Perfect for a well timed Burfday descent of the Vallée Blanche… Although yesterday’s forecast was for very high winds up high, and we were all a little concerned as to what it would be like descending the arête from the Aiguille du Midi. As it turned out though there was hardly a breath of wind (as you can tell from Mathias’ smile below). However, we had to wait till 11.30 for our number to come up on the Aiguille du Midi cable car. No problem, it gave us a chance to grab a tasty coffee across the road from the bottom lift station…
Later that evening the whole gang (inc. Dave, Trev, and Jackie) went out for a special Burfday Dinner…
