This past couple of weeks I seem to have fallen in with a gang of rather dubious Arc’teryx t-shirt grabbers… I have been to Esk Buttress (3 t-shirts bagged), Flat Crags (2 t-shirts bagged), and Westmorland Crags (3 t-shirts bagged). I did persuade these questionable fellows to leave a couple of routes unclimbed (and therefore t-shirts unclaimed) at these venues or other ones very close by, such as Neckband Crag. So hopefully the holiday makers of July and August will have a few t-shirts left to claim for themselves… 😈

(The second pitch is scary and tough, worth E2 I think)

(Should not be at all maligned, it’s a good route)

An incredibly ancient cairn!

(Westmorland Crack is crazy dirty and wet)
