After messing about in the water yesterday I wanted to go for a proper swim so we went to Coniston.
We drove down the east side of the lake and found a free 😯 car park right next to a small beach. Perfect.
We got kitted up in our wet suits and waded in to the lake. Zac wasn’t too sure at first. Luckily it was very shallow for the first 10m, so he could test the water. He made it in up to his knees, not very far, and then ran back to shore. Then we encouraged him to go deeper, and he decided standing on his back legs was a good way to go.
Eventually he decided the excitement of going after a stick was just too much and he splashed in, true doggy paddle style.
Pete looked after Zac for a bit while I went for a proper swim. But I didn’t stay out for long because I was a bit worried Zac would get cold and I realised I had the car key with me. I swam back and we got changed and dried Zac off.
But he was keen for more fun, so it was back to the beach and stick throwing.
That night, Zac slept for hours and hours.
He looks like a mini Loch Ness Monster in the last pic! And Pete looks as if he’s walking on water!
HE HE, walking on water! Yeah, I think you might be right…
