To round off what has been an exceptionally packed weekend of activities (although not that much climbing!), we were invited to some live music in Kirkby Stephen by our friends David and Kath.
In 1997 I was lucky enough to attend the CC centenary in North Wales, I’d only been a member of the CC for less than two years at that time, but it was an amazing experience! I resolved straight away to become a member of the FRCC before their centenary in 2006.
Despite the weather forecast (Gales and squally showers), Anna, Ian, Andy and Arthur decided on a wet trog around Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike and Dollywagon Pike.
The girls had planned to go to the theatre in Keswick on Friday, but the show was cancelled, so Anna arranged a gastronomic night out in Cockermouth at the newly opened Spice House Indian restaurant.
