On the latest visit to Chamonix, Pete’s technology got swabbed for explosives at Newcastle airport. All this is for his new weather station in Chamonix, France. Unfortunately the lack of French DIY shops that are open on Sundays prevented the project being completed – perhaps next time?
Kath completed the 23rd 14 mile Dentdale run in a very reasonable time of 2 hrs 17 minutes 12 seconds, considering that she was recovering from a severe cold.

Dave took Kath caving... well, sort of. Along the River Eden north of Little Salkeld are some sandstone caves [to] visit.
Dave finally got his second trip and training session in one of the RAF Sea King helicopters. It had taken 7 attempts to get a RAF helicopter to the Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team's base.
Dave & Kath headed off to Val Thorens to see if the rumours were true - yes, there was snow, it snowed a little and we had a fab time.
