Anna and I grabbed the chance for an evening walk, joining the A.W. bunch for a brief wander near Keswick........

700 years is a long time ...... we hadn't even started climbing then (well maybe Terry had). Anna and I visited Burgh by Sands where King Edward 1 died on 7th July 1307 for the anniversary commemorations. I wonder if he died because of the torrential downpour????
With England suffering monsoon weather, we headed north and had a perfect day on the Ardnamurchan peninsula........
In between monsoon-like showers we fitted in a scramble up Sharp Edge, Blencathra.
Pete builds a stone wall for the little people of Helm crag. We did climb aswell though........
After a hot day at Black crag, what more could we want..... yes magnums delivered courtesy of Jon.... Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
