The axe ripped. I was off! The air left my lungs involuntarily, sounding the alarm as it passed my vocal chords, its pitch raised. The sound of total, all-embracing, fear.
My alarm chirped into life, sounding every bit as pleased with itself as it usually did. It was 4am. I shuffled in my sleeping bag to free an arm to silence it and fumbled for my head torch.
Just a quick one from me – sorry, no photos. Saturday – Kendal Wall. If you fall off whilst trying to clip above you, you go a looong way, no surprises there. However, if you try and inadvertantly slow yourself down by hitting your arse on all the holds on the adjacent wall, don’t expect …
Went to work yesterday, and am going in again tomorrow, having not been in for months. Sorry for being off the radar, hope to get back to more adventurous ways soon. Take care all, and have happy and safe adventures.
Went up north for a long weekend...
...and a bit more successful this time.
...so I went for a wee jogette.
While I was Yorkshire 3 Peaking last weekend, Chris went for a run on the Pennines for a few hours. He liked the terrain underfoot and constantly changing vistas so much, we went back yesterday...
