Ian is too busy to write up our little adventure in Passy, just down the valley from Chamonix, so I thought I would post a few photos to remember a fun day out.
Today it was sunny, so we went rock climbing! 🙂
Recently I spent nine days at Plas y Brenin in North Wales on the Mountain Instructor Award (MIA) training course.
We’ve been excited by the prospect of the Tour de France passing through Yorkshire for quite some time. Having the world’s largest single sporting race so close to home is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join in with the spectacle…
Last weekend was the Llanberis Tradfest – a celebration of traditional climbing based in North Wales’ Llanberis Pass. The event was laid on through a collaboration between DMM, The Climbers’ Club, and V12 with additional support from Scarpa and The North Face.
The weather this past week has been glorious! In between working and gardening I have tried my hardest to get out and enjoy it…
After providing support and photographic services to Laetitia and Vicky at the Great North Swim in Windermere on Saturday morning it was time for me to high-tail it to North Wales for a CC committee meeting.
We’ve been looking forward to the multi-day canoeing trip in Scotland with our friends Paul and Lisa for ages. We’d planned the trip back in February and this past weekend we finally set off on our new adventure.
Last weekend we went across to Yorkshire to sample more rock climbing on the lovely limestone crags. We’d chosen Great Close Scar right next to Malham Tarn.
