It’s that time of year where it rains a lot! Just check out our weather page.
This weekend was the annual Kendal Mountain Festivals event in Kendal (obviously).
To help blow (or more accurately, wash) the hangover from the night before at the FRCC Centenary Banquet away we decided to brave the rain and go for a bumble up Eskdale today.
To round off what has been an exceptionally packed weekend of activities (although not that much climbing!), we were invited to some live music in Kirkby Stephen by our friends David and Kath.
In 1997 I was lucky enough to attend the CC centenary in North Wales, I’d only been a member of the CC for less than two years at that time, but it was an amazing experience! I resolved straight away to become a member of the FRCC before their centenary in 2006.
There is no better party than a wedding - everyone is always in such a happy mood! So how much better is it when the guy getting married has been your mate since age 11, and you’re his best man?
Work meant that both Dave and I were marooned in London tonight...
It’s that time of year again! Every year we get as many of our mates as possible round on (or near to) bonfire night to get crazy with the biggest fireworks we can lay our hands on.
The weather turned out dry today - very different to the rain we thought had been forecast!
