This week saw the first summer weather! High pressure with sunny blue skies, the only thing missing was the warmth! I've even noticed trees are budding and have heard that some roses are blooming.
So, what do four slightly crazy rock climbers (Ian, Anna, Laetitia and Pete) do on the first days of the 'summer' rock climbing season?
Well Kats, Needless to say, it snowed on the night of our early morning departure! Here you see us at 5am hopelessly snowed in, awaiting the snow plough.
Hey Kats, Terry & Paul went to Aosta to find just about the only ice in Europe.

This weekend was the annual Kendal Mountain Festivals event in Kendal (obviously).
In 1997 I was lucky enough to attend the CC centenary in North Wales, I'd only been a member of the CC for less than two years at that time, but it was an amazing experience! I resolved straight away to become a member of the FRCC before their centenary in 2006.
Wow! Mid-summer weather in October. Ian, Anna, Pete, Laetitia, Terry and Vicky took the opportunity to find a south facing crag close to the road.
A few of us have just got back from Kalymnos, where we had a week's climbing and numerous dough-balls.
