Climbing rock (aka Free Climbing).
We might have been in the south of Spain, and it might have been sunny, but it was really, really cold.
So after our epic adventures on Rijm Assaf we needed an easier day, so Amy and I headed for the South Ridge of Jebel Mayeen whilst Carol and Ian went off to climb Jack Daniels (a 6 pitch VS) on the East Face.

We decided to escape the horrible November weather and have a week bolt clipping in El Chorro.
What an absolutely glorious Autumn day we had today. The beautiful colours where glowing in the sunshine. Thank goodness we had no reason to not go out.
Despite the wonderful autumn sunshine it was easy to tell that the weather has consisted of pretty much endless rain for the past several months - the cracks of the main wall of Trowbarrow Quarry were running with water!
Six Barnsley diehards set off to Cornwall in less than perfect weather with a met office promise of worse to come.
The weather forecast wasn’t great but I decided to go ahead with my planned trip to the Lakes with the most hardy of my friends, the others having bailed out.
The Penon de Ifac dominates Calpe, Costa Blanca, and Diedro UBSA is the classic route on the vast south face.
