To make up for the disappointment of not going to Pembroke and enjoying the fantastic weather (thank you again Met Office), after much "Where shall we go?", Ben and I headed out west of Dumfries to Miekle Ross...
It was cloudy in the valley today so we decided to venture in to Switzerland to try out Bravo Lapp - a route recommended to us by Henri Bouillet, a great friend of Smiler.
With the forecast amended to sunshine, but with a cool air temp ruling out the high crags, to escape the crowds in Borrowdale Ben and I chose Gouther Crag in Swindale for a bit of trad mileage.
With a bank holiday weekend to play with, a trip to Pembroke for some sun-kissed sea cliff action seemed the way forward. As the weather forecast nose-dived as the weekend approached though, a late call to instigate Plan B was made.

With a clear but cold (ish!) forecast, a bit of valley cragging in the sun seemed in order. Bowderstone Crag, hidden in the trees up the hill from the famous boulder, was a perfect choice being south west facing and quick drying following the overnight rain.
