Today there was no fresh snow, no clouds, no wind, and – can you believe it – blue skies! Having achieved little in the way of the ski touring we’d planned due to the weather, it was decided that a day in the Vallee Blanche would be fun – isn’t it always!
Today Laetitia joined us, she’d been forced to join the team late due to work commitments (have I ever mentioned that work sucks?). This meant we didn’t get out until 12 noon. Dave sent a text at 7am to say he wasn’t going out today so there would be a spare bus ticket going for Courmayeur.
We used the Lizard-Spock Expansion of the classic rock-paper-scissors game to decide where to go and play in the deepening powder on our birthday celebration day. Well, actually we used the game to decide who got to choose the venue... Laetitia won, and Les Grands Montets was chosen.
