Walking (mostly in the mountains).
With threatening clouds over the Lakes Ian, Anna, Andy and Sabiene took the chance for another long walk along the Solway coast.
A lazy day saw us at our local beach. The 3 scoops of famous Twentyman's ice cream was well worth the 5 mile walk....
On the last day of our holiday we teamed up with our mates again and headed out to sample some of the adventures they had planned for the long weekend. Ticking off some of the French via ferrata near Chamonix.
We flew into a village called Narsarsuaq (population 190) and within 30 mins were in a vehicle (with only 2nd gear - they were awaiting a part) and off to the port...
Ian, Anna, Andy, Sabiene and Arthur braved the weather, 100's of other walkers and the vomit-inducing mementoes, plaques and even an urn to reach the top of Ben Nevis.
The BBC spends a lot of money (our license fees) on weather forecasting!

Thought I’d take a look at our local patch this afternoon and wander round the Kentmere Horseshoe. I decided to walk up the valley towards the reservoir this time and then catch the path up towards the Nan Bield Pass.
It’s one of the best scrambles in the Lakes! So what better way to kick off the Easter Bank Holiday weekend?
Great exposure, some fun scrambling and a stiff (freezing) wind...
