I’m not sure if the Staveley guys were the best. If they weren’t, they were only narrowly beaten by the guys from Luton (pictured above). Either way the procession through the streets of Kendal were an amazing flash of colour and sound!
Yes, the main picture is a fake! Well, in that it wasn’t taken today. However, the picture right was taken just after the rain stopped. I’m not sure it shows the wet rock clearly, but it was running!
Despite the miserable weather (can it rain more?), we made the journey from the VERY wet Lakes to the REALLY wet Peaks to support Boris’ meet at the Roaches.
We braved the pouring rain (along with about 5998 other people - according to "official"Âť estimates) in Kendal this morning. It was wet! But we wanted to join in the cry to save threatened services at the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.
The gang (pictured by Laetitia above; Pete, Anna, Paul and Ian, accompanied by Kelda, Ian’s border collie) headed off to Longsledale for quite a long (16 mile) mountain bike ride this past weekend.
Only 5 minutes from home, and the map comes out for the first time. Probably why Pete told us the ride would take 2 hours. It might have done if we'd done the 2 hour route!
