The sun was shining but it was still a bit cool, so we had a short day on the beautiful rock at Castle Rock of Triermain.
After a day at my parents we visited Paul for a trip into the Peak District. We thought a walk along Stanage might be nice. We eventually got to Hathersage and dug out a space for Paul’s car, deciding to take the 4×4 up the hill.
The weather this weekend is cold! But unlike the past several weekends that have seen brilliant winter climbing conditions in Scotland there’s a strong wind and almost blizzard conditions prevailing outside right now!
A day of high adventure in the snowy Leicestershire mountains!
The Climbers’ Club AGM has for me been traditionally a great opportunity to meet up with friends, enjoy a slap up dinner, and get involved helping set the direction of those that manage the club
I ran this race yesterday – one of the first of the year.

What a laugh we had today – a bit of early season skiing in one of the least likely resorts – the Lake District…
